Alison Krauss has been a country artist for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur IL on the 23rd of July, 1971. LeAnn Kymes and she were two of the youngest winners of the Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss - born on the 23rd of July 1971 is a popular American country and bluegrass singer. She entered the music industry at an early age having won local competitions at when she was 10 years old before recording her first album when she was 14 years old. When she was 14, she dropped her first solo album, after joining Rounder Records. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings together. Her first album in a group with this band came out in the year 1989.
