Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress, born and brought up in Orange County. At the age of five, she left Morocco for California. In 2015, she graduated from University of California San Diego and got her first break in acting. Pernas played small roles in NCIS as well as Leverage. She then landed the role as Marisa on The Young and the Restless. After leaving the soap opera in 2016 the actress scored an appearance in Jane the Virgin as Catalina.
