Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer most well known for her performance in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. The actress made her debut in Tamil in the film with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah was born to an Anglo-Indian Family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's father is a lawyer who is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Also, she has an older sister who is currently working as a research assistant in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was brought up in Chennai. He attended National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. When she was 10, she was a part of a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the base of her early musical and singing career. She performed as an actor at her school and took part in several plays produced through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. Andrea was President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her stage career by appearing in Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She appeared in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. Also, she acted as a character in Podhigai's serial. The actress performed all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's climax, (2005). Gautham Vaisudev Menon had her sing in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, then wanted her to take on the role of a female character in Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. It featured Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker her husband who is caught in an affair, and then is blackmailed. Andrea was picked for the role after actors Simran Tabu and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The film premiered in the beginning of 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to fill a smaller support role. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic movie that was released in 2013.
