Some of her songs were rejected before she got accepted by 'Capitol Record. The album she released as her second studio album 'One of the Boys' came out to be a major success, marking a turning point in her musical career. She became professional and she hasn't looked back from that point on. The following album, 'Teenage Dreams' was received a huge response from music fans and is among the top-selling albums of all time. It was the source of many records and established Katy Perry's status as an acclaimed performer. Perry's charity work is not only known as a song artist and songwriter however, she is also known for the many records she has made. She is also an activist and promotes LGBT rights.
